Advertising Restrictions

For a variety of reasons, MareNostrum prohibits certain types of advertising (& images). Some of them present legal risks to our community; others are inconsistent with our values, are harmful to our members, or simply are not in the spirit of MareNostrum. This policy explains what kind of advertising and images are prohibited or restricted on MareNostrum:

• Alcohol, Tobacco, Drugs, Drug Paraphernalia, and Medical Drugs
• Dangerous Items: Hazardous Materials, Recalled Items, and Weapons
• Hate Items: Items that Promote, Support, or Glorify Hatred
• Illegal Items, Items Promoting Illegal Activity, and Highly Regulated Items
• Internationally Regulated Items
• Night Clubs, Bars, Discos, Escorts, Nudity, Pornography and other Mature Content
• Casinos, gambling of any kind or in any form

Alcohol, Tobacco, Drugs, Drug Paraphernalia, and Medical Drugs

Alcohol and drug images are prohibited on MareNostrum. These substances face serious legal restrictions and in many cases are considered controlled substances under applicable law. Our policy also applies to other substances that have or are claimed to have an intoxicating or healing effect. Possible legal restrictions aside, these substances are not in the spirit of MareNostrum.

Dangerous Items: Hazardous Materials, Recalled Items, and Weapons

For safety and legal reasons, we prohibit images of dangerous items on our platform.

Hate Items: Items that Promote, Support, or Glorify Hatred

We want MareNostrum to be a community where people of all backgrounds, nationalities, religions, political affiliations feel safe. This platform is not suitable for political discussion. It is meant for bringing people closer together, not drive them apart.

Illegal Items, Items Promoting Illegal Activity, and Highly Regulated Items

We respect the law and expect MareNostrum service providers as well as tourists to respect the international and local laws as well. We require service providers to follow all applicable laws for the accommodation and services they post.

Internationally Regulated Items

MareNostrum provides a direct connection between tourists around the world and service providers mainly in the Mediterranean (Sea) area. If you enter into a transaction with someone across international borders, you are responsible for complying with laws and regulations of the country of destination as well as your local laws.

Night Clubs, Bars, Discos, Escorts, Nudity, Pornography and other Mature Content

MareNostrum is mainly focused on providing information on travel and accommodation availability in the Mediterranean area and connecting tourists with service providers in the areas of interest to the tourist. Other above activities are left to the sole choice and discretion of the tourists and MareNostrum does not engage in organizing nor does it encourage or advertise for such activities.

Casinos, gambling of any kind or in any form

MareNostrum’s values are not aligned with encouraging gambling of any sorts so we will not promote it in any way.
